Our Automotive Client based in Leicester is seeking either Engineer or Senior - Integration & Validation Engineers. You will join the Electrical & Electronics team within Integration and Validation. They are looking to bring in a talented, passionate, and driven Integration and Validation Engineers to drive and facilitate the delivery of integrated HW and SW in the assigned projects for our New Technology and New Model Introduction Programs. To succeed in this role, you will have an Electrical / Electronic Engineering Degree or an equivalent BEng or MEng in a technical subject with modules covering software planning and integration, alongside proven relevant experience. Ideally, you have previous experience of working within a dynamic automotive, manufacturing or industrial environment. We are looking for Electrical engineers with good problem-solving skills, adaptable mindset, with at least one of the following skills: Integration rigs development (labcar/labbike) and automated test scripting and execution Diagnostics, networks and systems integration expertise dSPACE ControlDesk, ConfigurationDesk, AutomationDesk, ModelDesk and test execution Duties and Responsibilities: On the assigned projects: Plan overall SW and HW technical integration Define Integration points Receive and collect SW releases Create and publish feature release plan Publish Integration points with release notes Assess SW compatibility (by design and by test) Assess HW compatibility (by design and by test) EOW/EOL readiness Review of Systems Requirements for testability Create test specifications and test cases for electrical systems Coordinate testing of EES features, liaising with test riders Create and modify automated test scripts Execute automated black box and manual system level tests in lab Analyse HIL and test data and reports Contribute to the development and improvement: Tools & Methods for Software integration and releasing into vehicle projects Ensure processes/procedures are in place to ensure deliverables and milestones are being met on a day-to-day basis by the teams Agree project metrics with key stakeholders Track best practices within the project planning community To undertake and assist with duties as required by your Manager Deliverables: On the assigned projects: Feature Delivery plan Integration Points & Release Notes Config Files EOL/EOW SW & HW Test cases & test scripts Test reports Qualifications and Attainments: BEng or MEng in Technical subject with modules covering software planning and integration etc or equivalent and relevant experience. Professional Experience and Skills: - Previous experience of working within an automotive / manufacturing / industrial environment. - Proficient planning of Integrated Software delivery into complex systems. - Proficient with CANoe and CANalyzer. - Knowledge of diagnostic protocol and re-programming. - Proficient in Systems test and validation. - Proficient in Microsoft packages including Excel, Word and Outlook. - Knowledge of full Systems Engineering lifecycle / V model. - Detailed Knowledge of CAN communication. - Excellent troubleshooting skills.
