Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services, is currently recruiting for an Interim Accountant on behalf of a global company in the renewable energy industry. This role is initially for a 4 Month contract with a high possibility of extension. The successful Interim Accountant will join the Finance Team based at the Nottingham office. The Interim Accountant will report into the Finance Manager and will be part of a wider team with 15 employees. You will be responsible for helping support with Monthly and Annual reporting, Journals, Tax Packs, RIC controls, and Analysing reports. Responsibilities: Perform month-end reporting & analysis in line with internal timetables. Responsible for making assigned month-end journal postings and submissions. Preparation of inputs for the annual tax pack process & RIC Controls. Support in process improvement initiatives across the wider finance team. Aid the annual budget & forecast process. Providing guidance & support training on topics within the team. Maintaining the general ledger and ensuring accurate record-keeping. Preparing financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensuring compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements. Preparing reconciliations for accounts such as bank accounts, receivables, and payables. Analysing discrepancies and resolving issues in financial reports. Overseeing the processing of invoices, payments, and collections. Ensuring proper coding, approval, and timely payment of bills. Managing aged receivables and collections to maintain healthy cash flow. Assisting in the development and monitoring of budgets. Providing variance analysis and identifying trends or issues for corrective action. Key Skills/ Experience/ Qualifications: Ideally Qualified/ Part Qualified. Minimum of 3 years in an Accountant role. SAP knowledge required. Proficient in using Excel and able to offer process improvement. Ability to support with completion of tax packs / RIC Controls. Month end reporting including journal postings and analysis. Help deliver process improvements & support more junior team members. Team player. Excellent communication skills. Able to commit to a minimum of 2 days onsite at the Nottingham Office.
