The role will involve hybrid working, with a mixture of onsite and remote working. The organisation will interview ASAP with a view to a swift appointment, remuneration will be at band 8d under the NHS Agency Capped rates.
This is a key appointment for the organisation and experience at this level in a similar capacity is essential. The successful candidate must be able to hit the ground running.
Key responsibilities will include: Lead the Care Group financial management teams in providing financial support and analysis to all budget holders and stakeholders; Lead on financial forecasting and budgeting processes; Lead on financial reporting, providing strategic financial interpretation and advice; Ensure the development of efficient and robust procedures and systems throughout the department and promote good financial control within the Trust; Develop and lead the financial management team to provide expert and high quality financial advice and support to the organisation; Work closely with the Directors of Operations and service lines to support them in managing their financial positions and forecasts; Lead the financial management team to provide support and expertise in identifying and costing cost improvement initiatives; Be responsible for maintaining a budgetary control environment, balancing the autonomy of service lines with the requirement to carefully manage overall expenditure for the Trust; Ensure that all business decisions are made in line with the Standing Orders, Standing Financial Instructions and procurement rules; Oversee the provision of high quality financial support to the development of business cases and their assessment; Develop financial analysis skills and expertise within the financial management team to support Clinicians and managers in informed decision making; Support the development and delivery of operational delivery plans to meet financial and operational targets. The ideal candidate will have:
Degree or equivalent; Holds a recognised CCAB or CIMA Finance Qualification and is a current member of the respective institute; Proven post qualifying experience at a senior level; A track record of achievement in their current role; Evidence of successfully managing change within a complex organisation and evidence of making a positive impact/change in current or previous roles; Experience of developing, improving or implementing financial systems and reporting.
