The Council is seeking a highly skilled

Interim Commercial Transformation Manager

to lead and deliver a transformational programme within our

Leisure and Culture services . This role will focus on redesigning, restructuring, and governing a commercially sustainable and community-focused leisure and culture offer. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of these services, ensuring they meet both financial goals and community needs. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Lead the diagnostic, redesign, and implementation of a new operating model and staffing structure for Leisure and Culture services. Provide strategic direction to ensure the offer is robust, financially sustainable, and community-centric.

Operational Oversight: Develop and execute a plan for delivering a traded Leisure and Culture service that is innovative and competitive. Optimize income streams and assess opportunities for new products, services, and operational efficiencies.

Collaboration and Advisory: Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and Transformation Team, providing expert advice and strategic insights. Foster cross-departmental collaboration to deliver a seamless community experience.

Prioritize customer experience by providing consistent, high-quality interactions and services. Expected Outcomes

Enhanced Community Experience: Deliver a reimagined offer that meets the diverse needs of residents and communities through targeted and universal services. Enable self-service for simple tasks, allowing council resources to focus on residents with the greatest need.

Sustainable Operations: Establish a financially viable model supported by a clear medium-term financial plan. Develop a single, integrated team aligned with council values and a distributed leadership approach.

Modernized Services: Transform the council’s interactions with stakeholders, delivering a seamless, intelligence-driven, and customer-focused experience. Ensure services are accessible, efficient, and aligned with community aspirations.

Skills and Qualifications

Proven experience in commercial transformation, preferably within leisure, culture, or public services. Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage large-scale change initiatives. Expertise in financial planning, income generation, and operational efficiency. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. A results-driven approach with a focus on measurable outcomes and community impact.
