However, like many businesses in its sector, it is currently experiencing financial challenges and is seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to lead the finance function through a period of transformation.

The business has an established reputation, and although the company is undergoing a period of change, the highly skilled leadership team is focused on long-term recovery and success. This is a chance to play a vital role in re-establishing financial strength and contributing to the company's future growth. Job Description Key Responsibilities: Cash and Working Capital Management:

Manage and optimize cash flow to ensure liquidity and mitigate financial risk. Work with department heads to closely monitor and manage working capital, focusing on key areas such as receivables, payables, and inventory management. Cash Flow Forecasting:

Prepare and maintain accurate and realistic cash flow forecasts to provide insight into short-term and long-term financial positioning. Ensure the business has sufficient cash resources to meet its obligations. Bank Relationships:

Build and maintain strong relationships with banks and other financial institutions. Coordinate with external partners to arrange financing and credit facilities as required. Supplier Relations:

Work closely with suppliers to manage payment terms and ensure that the company's financial obligations are met in a timely manner. Financial Reporting:

Oversee the preparation of accurate financial reports, including management accounts and other performance-related metrics, ensuring timely and transparent reporting to senior management. Cost Control:

Analyze the company's cost structure and identify areas for improvement. Implement cost control measures where necessary to support cash conservation. Stakeholder Communication:

Provide regular financial updates and insights to senior management and key stakeholders, guiding them through the company's financial challenges. Team Leadership:

Manage and guide the finance team, ensuring they are focused and aligned with the company's immediate financial recovery goals. The Successful Applicant To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced and hands-on financial leader with a proven track record of managing cash flow and working capital, particularly in distressed environments. You will be adaptable, proactive, and capable of building strong relationships with external partners, such as banks and suppliers.

You will also hold a professional accountancy qualification: ACA, ACCA or CIMA. What's on Offer Working with an excellent team of people to future proof a company.
