Interim Financial Controller Interim day rate role for 3-6 months A senior role with exposure to the external boards About Our Client Our client is a leading construction company known for delivering high-quality projects across both residential and commercial sectors. With a reputation for innovation, attention to detail, and a commitment to sustainable construction practices, they are experiencing significant growth and are looking for a Financial Controller to support their ambitious plans. Job Description As the Financial Controller, you will be a pivotal part of the management team, responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the business. Your duties will include: Leading the finance function, ensuring robust financial controls are in place Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports Budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to support strategic decision-making Managing cash flow, working capital, and monitoring financial performance Ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and reporting standards Overseeing payroll, VAT returns, tax, and year-end audits Liaising with external stakeholders such as banks, auditors, and HMRC Managing and mentoring a small finance team, providing guidance and development The Successful Applicant Key Requirements: Proven experience as an interim Financial Controller, ideally within the construction or related industries ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent qualification Strong understanding of financial regulations, tax, and audit processes Experience with project-based accounting and cost control in the construction sector Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail Strong communication and leadership skills to interact with both financial and non-financial stakeholders Proficiency in relevant financial software (experience with construction-specific systems is a plus) What's on Offer A competitive daily rate and opportunity to work with a dynamic and forward-thinking team.
