HWF are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Interim Financial Controllerto join a dynamic and rapidly growing private equity backed company based in York. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking to take their next contract and oversee the financial operations of multiple entities within a dynamic and fast growing business.
As the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in managing financial reporting, controlling, and strategy across a group of companies. You will work closely with senior management to ensure the companies are financially robust and compliant with all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the financial accounting function for an international entity.
Oversee the preparation of accurate monthly and annual financial statements.
Develop and implement financial strategies to drive profitability and growth.
Prepare forecasts and budgets, monitoring financial performance and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
Manage cash flow, working capital, and day-to-day financial operations.
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company policies.
Provide financial insight and analysis to senior management to support decision-making.
Supervise and develop the finance team, ensuring continuous professional development.
Maintain strong relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent.
At least 5 years’ experience in a senior financial management role.
Proven track record in managing the finances of multiple companies or divisions.
Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and financial regulations.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Experience in developing financial strategies to improve business performance
