Financial Controller

to join its team and play a pivotal role in managing its financial health. The Role As the Financial Controller, you will oversee the charity's financial operations, ensuring robust financial management and compliance with statutory requirements. You'll work closely with senior leadership to provide strategic insights, enabling informed decision-making to support our mission. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and management accounts. Oversee cash flow management and ensure financial stability. Lead on the preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and charity governance requirements. Develop and implement financial policies, controls, and processes. Support funding applications and donor reporting, ensuring transparency and accountability. Provide financial analysis to inform strategic planning and decision-making. About You We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual who is both financially astute and aligned with our values. The ideal candidate will have: A Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). Proven experience in financial management, ideally within the charity or non-profit sector. Strong understanding of charity finance regulations and SORP accounting. Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills. A commitment to sustainability and the values of our organisation.
