Altum Consulting are recruiting for a Financial Controller to join a high growth, PE backed business for an initial 6 month contract (day rate). The successful candidate will play a pivotal and hands-on role in health checking the current finance function to establish best practices, support growth initiatives, and enhance the financial reporting processes.
Role:
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead and manage day-to-day financial operations, including monthly management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
Develop robust financial processes to support accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance, especially in a private equity-backed environment.
Work closely with senior management to support strategic planning, financial analysis, and growth initiatives.
Provide insights into financial performance, identifying opportunities for cost efficiencies and driving profitability.
Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and best practices.
Act as a trusted business partner across departments, ensuring alignment on financial strategy and goals.
Lead and mentor a small team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience:
ACA/CA qualified (audit background).
Practical experience in a Financial Controller role in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Immediately available/short notice period.
