Interim Financial Controller | Oldham | Up to £70k | 6 month contract
Marks Sattin are delighted to be working with a thriving business based in Oldham to recruit for a hands-on Financial Controller on an interim basis. The successful candidate will lead a small team and be heavily involved with month end processes, cashflow and budgets.
Responsibilities Lead and manage a small finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Oversee and execute month-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the financial stability of the organisation. Prepare and analyse P&L statements to provide insights and support strategic decision-making. Oversee the invoicing process to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Manage collections to maintain healthy cash flow and minimise outstanding receivables. Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records. Develop and manage the budgeting process, providing detailed forecasts and variance analysis. About you Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). Proven experience in a similar role, demonstrating hands-on involvement in financial management and team leadership. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. Proactive, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
