As they navigate a critical phase of growth and transition, they are seeking a highly skilled Group Financial Controller to join their team. This role is pivotal in supporting their business through enhancing their financial processes, finance team development and preparing them for the next phase of expansion. Role Overview: The Group Financial Controller will play a key role in professionalising the finance function to ensure it meets world-class standards. You will be instrumental in supporting the business through the audit and year-end processes, reviewing and implementing new processes, and driving the next phase of our growth strategy. This position is ideal for a seasoned finance professional with a strong background in private equity-backed environments. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the preparation of financial statements and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards. Address and resolve any audit findings and implement necessary improvements. Assess current financial processes and identify areas for enhancement. Develop and implement robust financial controls and procedures. Ensure the finance function operates efficiently and effectively, aligning with industry best practices. Drive the professionalisation of the finance team to support business objectives and growth. Mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Implement financial systems and tools to support enhanced reporting and analysis. Prepare the business for future growth phases, including potential fundraising, acquisitions, integrations and/or other strategic initiatives. Qualifications: Accounting Qualified (ACA/CA ideal) Technically strong, demonstrated experience in reviewing and improving financial processes and controls.
