As the energy transition gathers pace, this is an exciting time to join a leading energy services business and play an instrumental role in the IR and M&A team. This role reports directly to the Head of IR and M&A and provides an excellent opportunity for someone to build their career in investor relations, while gaining valuable exposure to the broader finance function, including M&A, creating a wide range of opportunities to progress in the company. This is an Interim role for 3-6 months duration only. This role can be available on a PAYE day rate or a Salaried, Fixed Term Contract. We are looking for someone who can join immediately. Key Responsibilities: Investor relations Organise the logistics and project manage all financial calendar events, such as the full year and half year results Assist with the preparation of materials for meetings and events such as roadshows / capital markets days / conferences etc. Assist with the preparation of sections of the Annual Report Communicate externally with analysts and investors Maintain consensus and review analyst estimates and models on a regular basis Help to ensure that the CEO/CFO are appraised of sell-side analysts’ views on the company and of any significant variances of consensus and individual estimates from the company’s expectations Play an active role supporting the Sustainability team, ensuring that external feedback is captured to support the evolution of the sustainability strategy Maintain the CRM system, ensuring details of investor meetings are recorded Manage the Investor Relations section of the Group’s corporate website Support with the preparation of materials for executive management and the Board Mergers & Acquisitions Research and evaluate new acquisition opportunities Support all aspects of the transaction process, including due diligence, financial modelling, valuation analysis, business case creation, integration planning, negotiation and integration execution Monitor and report on M&A activity among peer companies Essential Skills: Degree (2:1 at least) qualified and experience working in financial and/or investor relations positions Financial literacy, numeracy and analytical capability Financial qualification preferred (e.g. ACA) Certificate in Investor Relations is desirable Excellent judgement and the ability provide counsel on complex issues Strong interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills both written and oral (English) Good coordination & project management skills Strong analytical skills Strong Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills
