As Management Accountant, you will take ownership of the preparation and analysis of key financial data, providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making. Working closely with senior management, you will ensure the accuracy of financial records and play a key role in driving operational efficiency. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented and proactive finance professional with a strong background in management accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Your key responsibilities will include:
Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports. Cost Analysis: Conduct detailed cost analysis to support decision-making, ensuring an understanding of production costs, variances, and margins. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring performance against targets and identifying variances. Business Partnering: Work closely with operational teams, providing financial insights and recommendations to improve efficiency and profitability. Inventory and Cost Control: Oversee inventory accounting, ensuring accurate valuation and reconciliation, and support cost control initiatives across the organisation. Month-End Processes: Manage month-end processes, ensuring all journal entries, accruals, and prepayments are completed accurately and on time. Compliance and Controls: Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures, maintaining compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. Project Support: Provide financial support for ongoing projects, including capital expenditure reviews, process improvements, and system upgrades. As the successful candidate you may possess a professional accounting qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent) or significant relevant experience in management accounting. You will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
