Qualified Accountant required to help a business in Fleet through their Year End Process (8-12 Weeks)
About the role:
I am seeking a highly skilled and experienced Qualified Interim Year-End Accountant to join my client for a period of 8-12 weeks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial & statutory accounting and reporting, with specific expertise in SAP S4 HANA. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial statements during the year-end close process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the year-end financial close process, ensuring all deadlines are met. - Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with IFRS/GAAP. - Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure all discrepancies are resolved. - Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate the audit process. - Utilise SAP S4 HANA to generate accurate financial reports and analyses. - Provide technical accounting guidance and support to the finance team. - Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements:
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). - Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a large organisation. - Knowledge of SAP S4 HANA and its financial modules. - Strong understanding of IFRS/GAAP and financial reporting standards. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
