Our client is a growing, Top 50 multi-disciplinary property and construction consultancy, providing a wide range of services across the majority of industry sectors including commercial, health, education, defence, residential, and community. They have been established for almost 100 years and have ambitious growth plans for their offices across the country. They now require an Intermediate Building Services (Mechanical) Engineer to join them on a full-time permanent basis in their Billericay office.

Salary: 45k - 52k (Guide only - DOE)
Holiday: 25 days plus bank holidays, increasing with service and including a Christmas shutdown.

Job Overview
Work with the Engineering Associate/Director on a regular basis, reporting weekly on progress.
Ensure all projects are completed to a high technical standard, on time, and on budget.
Carry out fee earning work, getting involved in design of schemes where appropriate and particularly where high-level technical expertise is required.
Undertake feasibility studies as required.
Meet with clients to establish project brief and budget costs for client consideration.
Draw up detailed specifications and drawings against client's briefs.
Review tenders received and prepare tender reports and recommendations.
Project manage site works from commencement to completion.
Monitor site works against specification requirements and agree contractor's final accounts.
Carry out inspections of existing installations and submit condition reports.
Check and prepare information for fee invoicing each month.
Manage day to day workload of individuals reporting directly to you, ensuring clarity of their roles, motivation of the team, and wellbeing of individuals.
Advise director and partners on resources required, assisting at interview stage.
Develop the client base of the Practice by being proactive in pursuing marketing opportunities that arise and to pursue marketing initiatives as directed.
Job Requirements
Experienced using Amtech (Electrical) or IES (Mechanical) software.
Experienced using AutoCAD and Revit.
Familiar with relevant legislation, codes of practice, CIBSE guides, building regulations, and best practice and environmentally sensitive.
Degree/Master's degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
Member of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers and/or The IET (or equivalents).
