A highly regarded main contractor operating in the Residential, Education, Commercial, Mixed-Use and Science sectors, seeking to recruit a Design Manager. Projects include Design and Build projects valued c£5m-£30m across multiple sectors. Duties & Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for technical compliance and design management predominantly at early feasibility and procurement stages, with involvement in monitoring on-site design coordination and managing external consultants. The business is open to considering Design Managers from an Architectural Technician or Mechanical/Electrical/Building Services Engineering background. Desirable Experience: Experience as an Assistant Design Manager, Design Coordinator, or Design Manager from early planning stages through to project completion. Minimum of 2 years' post-graduate experience working for a Main Contractor, Architects, Consulting Engineers, or Sub-Contractor. Knowledge of construction methodology and Design & Build contracts would be advantageous. Previous Roles: Intermediate Design Manager, Trainee Design Manager, Technical Manager, Assistant Design Manager, Design Manager, Design Co-ordinator, or Assistant Design & Build Manager. Qualifications & Skills:
A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Services, or Architecture would be advantageous, or a comparable qualification. Application Process:
