Company & Project:
A highly regarded main contractor operating in the Residential, Education, Commercial, Mixed-Use and Science sectors, is seeking to recruit a Design Manager to join their business. Projects include Design and Build projects valued c£5m-£30m across multiple sectors.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will take responsibility for technical compliance and design management predominantly at early feasibility and procurement stages, with involvement in monitoring on-site Design coordination and managing external consultants.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience as an Assistant Design Manager, Design Coordinator, or Design Manager from early planning stages through to project completion. Minimum of 2 years' post-graduate experience working for a Main Contractor, Architects, Consulting Engineers, or Sub-Contractors. Knowledge of Construction methodology and Design & Build contracts.
Qualifications & Skills:
Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Services, or Architecture, or comparable qualification.
