Not your usual engineering consultancy, this is a global design-focused organisation with offices across 8 different countries. The UK is home, and 70% of the company’s work is delivered from its multiple offices in this country. Manchester is a big hub for them with over 100 staff in total and 27 members in the current building services team. If you want to work within a multi-discipline practice, this is for you! They are big on architecture and design, recognized as a leader in the industry and involved with some of the largest and most iconic projects, including public-realm projects and smart cities. Current projects include the restoration of the Palace of Westminster, Manchester College Group city centre campus, and Salford University. They have a huge range of projects in different sectors including heritage, aerospace, and high-end residential. The successful Intermediate Mechanical Engineer will ideally be working towards CIBSE chartership, but training and support will be provided if you’re at the start of that journey. There is plenty of opportunity for growth with this business having recently launched a transparent career paths scheme, ensuring clear sight of progression and what you need to do to become promoted, alongside mentoring schemes with more senior managers.
