About the role Assessment & Qualification (A&Q) is a £1.5b division of Pearson consisting of four businesses: US School Assessments, Pearson School Qualifications, Clinical Assessments, and Pearson VUE. Each of these businesses is supported by a dedicated team of finance business partners (c.50 professionals globally). The teams’ responsibilities include supporting business leaders with commercial finance and business partnering, supporting decision making and managing the financial performance of the businesses. The intern will spend c.2 weeks supporting each A&Q business partner team in a rotational program developed to broaden their exposure to different business units, finance leaders, and assignments. This role will have direct access to a senior member of the team who will provide mentorship to make the most of the 10-week program. Responsibilities

Assist in financial analysis and modeling to support business planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for business leaders to communicate key performance metrics and trends. Conduct variance analysis and identify drivers of financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency. Assist in evaluating investment opportunities, business cases, and strategic initiatives, including scenario analysis and sensitivity testing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects and initiatives to drive process improvements and operational excellence. Assist in ad-hoc analysis and reporting as requested by management or business partners. Key Requirements

Final year student pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Recent graduates also may be considered. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. Expected to be in the office 2 to 3x a week on specific days. Benefits & Rewards

Assessment centre

Friday 7 March 2025 in our London office (80 Strand), followed by final interviews in the week commencing Monday 17 March 2025.
