Learn more at pearsonplc.com About the role The Global Workplace team is responsible for managing the end-to-end property lifecycle across Pearson's c.150 corporate properties globally, with a total of 2.9m SF under management and a budget of c.£50m. The department is responsible for all property acquisitions and dispositions, regulatory compliance and the delivery of all key workplace services and projects. The Workplace team is split into three main functions, under the Global Head of Property & Workplace Services: Regional Workplace Management:

coordinating end-user relationship, execution of Workplace services and the delivery of capital projects. Portfolio Management:

leading all commercial negotiations with Landlords, Tenants and Brokers. Workplace Operations:

driving Data & Insights, Risk Management, Governance, Communications & Change and Property Finance (the internship position is in the Property Finance team, reporting to the Workplace Cost Management Manager). On a day-to-day basis the Intern will work closely with the Cost Management Manager and the Regional Analysts to help with budget tracking, financial analysis, forecasting and reporting. As and when required, support will also be provided to the wider Workplace team, giving the Intern an opportunity to experience other areas of real estate. One of Workplace's strategic objectives for 2025, is to review our current third-party service partners (used to deliver local Workplace services), with a view to proposing the optimum target operating model that will help drive efficiencies and standards across the globe. The Intern will provide play a key role in supporting the launch of this initiative through: Engaging the Workplace and business teams to gather service requirements. Working with Finance Operations colleagues to gather and analyse the current spend profile with our third-party service partners. Identifying and analysing opportunities for cost reductions/savings, making proposals and recommendations to the Cost Management Manager. Identifying and analysing opportunities for Operational efficiencies, making proposals and recommendations to the Cost Management Manager. Documenting and managing project governance, including project plans and timelines. Attending all relevant meetings either in-person or remotely as appropriate. Key requirements Final year student pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in either; Business Studies, Business Administration, Real Estate, Project Management or Finance. Good interpersonal skills, able to easily communicate with people at all levels of the organisation. Strong skills in all Microsoft Office applications. Numerate and happy to work with data. Happy to work independently and use own initiative to solve problems. Given the global nature of the project, flexibility to adjust their working day is important. Expected to be in the office ~2 to 3x a week on specific days. Friday 7 March 2025 in our London office (80 Strand), followed by final interviews in the week commencing Monday 17 March 2025.
