What you'll do

This role will be responsible for the end-to-end management of a variety of Internal Comms projects and campaigns across the Vodafone UK business.

Projects & campaigns will be linked to Vodafone UK's key strategic priorities and spirit behaviours, and can range from HR change projects and updates to major technology campaigns and everything in between. The role will involve working at all levels throughout the organisation, including the General Management Team and Vodafone UK Leadership Team, plus external agencies, and requires strong management of virtual teams and the ability to quickly adapt and respond to changing priorities in a highly dynamic environment.

Working creatively to maximise audience engagement, but with an emphasis on delivering at low cost, the role requires proven and strong stakeholder management skills, together with an ability to organise and run multiple activities and projects concurrently. Superb written communication skills, strategic thinking, an ability to constructively challenge in the right way at the right time and a thorough understanding of the UK business, purpose and strategy are essential.
  • End-to-end creation, development and delivery of a wide range of simple, engaging and informative communications through a variety of channels and delivery methods, ensuring relevance and clarity of message and purpose
  • Work with the business to devise and deliver comms project plans and associated collateral and material
  • Robust measurement and monitoring of the effectiveness of all comms projects & campaigns against Key Performance Indicators
  • Deliver and publish materials across a wide range of channels, selecting the most appropriate channel for the audience and message
  • Negotiate tender bids and contracts with key suppliers, delivering the optimal balance between quality and cost efficiency.

  • A proven track record of working within communication planning
  • Exemplary writing/copy writing skills
  • Ability to think creatively and engage audiences through a range of media
  • Project management and organisational skills to effectively deliver concurrent projects against deadline and measure return on investment
  • An effective influencer and negotiator at a senior level, with excellent stakeholder management abilities
  • Confident dealing with people across all levels and situations, whether audience management at events or one-to-one engagement with the Vodafone UK Leadership Team
  • A self-starter, able to operate individually in a fast-paced matrix environment.
