The Opportunity The Internal Communications team is a small team plus Head of Comms, focusing on specific areas, which encompass: Employee and executive communications Content creation and channel management Engagement strategies Strategic programme support As the Internal Communications Lead (People), you will play a crucial role in enhancing employee engagement and aligning business goals with internal messaging. Your goal is to ensure crucial messages reach and engage members through appropriate internal channels across the region. You’ll partner closely with senior directors within the People team and our marketing and communications business partners for direction and the Internal Comms Lead to ensure communications activities are joined up and form a key part of the broader 12 month internal communications plan that supports our Region strategy and the Group strategy. You will work with multiple stakeholders across a variety of disciplines to achieve the right outcomes and will be comfortable working on multiple projects at any one time. The role requires someone who has significant knowledge in change and engagement communications. The post holder will be developed professionally through the UKIMEA Marketing & Communications network and reports to the Head of Communications. You will manage and develop an internal comms officer aligned to the People Team, helping them prioritise where needed, inspiring them in their work and professional development and ensuring they are well connected and supported by the broader internal comms team. Is this role right for you? We are looking for people who: Proven management in the field of internal communications in a professional services environment Significant experience in communicating transformation programmes effectively to a diverse audience The ability to develop strategic, well considered plans and support on tactical implementation The ability to analyse and contextualise complex issues, identify key points to be addressed and develop effective, practical, simple and measurable plans to resolve problems Have curiosity, a desire to learn across the business to help move the People agenda forward in the context of communications and engagement What we offer you At Arup, we care about each member’s success, so we can grow together.
