The Royal College of Art is seeking a Part-Time Internal Communications Officer to join our Communications and Marketing team for a fixed-term role until July 2025.

About the Role

As the Internal Communications Officer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a measurable, multi-channel internal communications programme for our staff and students. Reporting to the Head of Communications and working closely with the Head of Portfolio Engagement/Senior Internal Communications Manager, you'll craft compelling narratives that celebrate the RCA's work and foster a sense of connection and purpose across our community.

This role is central to supporting the RCA's mission to remain the world's leading art and design university while embedding principles of equity, diversity, inclusion, and sustainability into all aspects of internal engagement. Key Responsibilities

Collaborative Content Creation: Research, develop, and write engaging content to share RCA projects and stories. Deliver these through newsletters, scripts, digital media, and events to inspire and inform staff and students. Newsletter Management: Coordinate and produce weekly newsletters for both staff and student audiences. Event & Campaign Support: Facilitate internal events, workshops, and presentations to enhance engagement. Storytelling Expertise: Capture RCA's goals, projects, and achievements in concise and compelling narratives that resonate across the community. Strategic Alignment: Ensure internal communications align with and support the wider Communications & Marketing strategy. Content Consistency: Maintain a cohesive tone of voice and visual identity across internal platforms. Person Profile

We are looking for someone who: Has experience supporting multi-channel internal communications programmes in a dynamic setting. Excels at creating engaging content for newsletters, emails, social media, slide decks, and reports. Thrives in collaborative environments, balancing multiple complex projects with various senior stakeholders. Has strong analytical skills to assess the effectiveness of communication strategies.
