Internal Hire Controller

the opportunity to join our expanding

Internal Hire Operations team

based in

Stevenage. About the team We currently provide a comprehensive fleet of over 9000 vehicles and with over 20,000 items of general plant and specialist utilities equipment from our regional depot network. About the role You will report into the Internal Hire Team Leader and be responsible for internal revenue, utilisation, availability, compliance and database integrity. As the Internal Hire Controller, you’ll get the opportunity to: Resolve any operational issues between rental desk, workshops and satellite depots in the network. Liaise between CSC and Customer to ensure all calibrated items are exchanged as appropriate and correct stock levels are maintained. Compile and submit Asset Disposal Applications in conjunction with CSC, continuously review age profile and stock levels, ensuring the disposal Invoices are generated. Continuously monitor operational metric reports and work closely with relevant teams to improve productivity and performance. Continuously review externally hired plant and fleet and establish opportunities for replacing with internal assets to maximise revenue. Ensure asset audits are carried out weekly and Insphire and Key2 reflects an accurate status at all times. Be proficient in all aspects of hire management and general administration. What you’ll bring?

Relevant experience in a similar role within the plant and vehicle hire industry is essential. Experience of Insphire and/or Jaama Key2 desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to relate to and work with colleagues, customers and suppliers. Administrative or Customer Service experience desirable. Proven IT Skills with experience of Microsoft Office. Good written and oral communication skills. What’s in it for you?
