A leadership opportunity is available with Interior Health for the position of Regional Medical Director – Palliative Care and End of Life Services (PCEOLS) for IH East. This role is ideal for a collaborative leader committed to advancing palliative and end-of-life care across both community and acute care settings.

The Regional Medical Director will provide regional leadership to ensure the effective delivery of care, oversee Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) services, and contribute to the development and integration of palliative care throughout the region.

Reporting to the Senior Medical Director, Palliative Care and End of Life Services, the successful candidate will work closely with key stakeholders, including program directors, area directors, practice leads, medical staff, site leadership, and provincial committees. The role involves providing expert leadership, medical guidance, and strategic direction for the planning, delivery, and performance of palliative, MAiD, and end-of-life services across the region.

This is a two-year, renewable position, contingent on satisfactory performance and mutual agreement. The part-time role is well-suited for a candidate who is maintaining a clinical practice while seeking to provide leadership in a medical capacity. Terms
