They are a market leader worldwide in the design, manufacture and supply of valves, pipe fittings, hydrants and flow control equipment to the Water, Wastewater, Oil and Gas industries.
They need your expertise and talent to promote their range of fabricated water fitting products. It is an office-based role and you will focus on converting quotations for both new/existing customers. Your expertise will assist customers with technical enquiries and product selection.
We are looking for someone who is customer-focused, has good technical knowledge, and is able to deliver fast and accurate responses.
Role Specifics: Growth:
Achieving budgets and objectives. Communicating with customers to clarify requirements and advising on pricing, lead times, and delivery dates. Working with gross price and discount structure within agreed authorities. Using the CRM system to ensure an up-to-date contact list, key activities, opportunities, and reports are maintained. Attending training to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
Leadership:
Managing quotations in line with ISO procedures and timescales to a professional standard. Preparing product quotations and support materials according to defined company pricing policy and customer requirements. Liaising with manufacturing to ensure pricing, lead time, and manufacture is on track. Following up quotations by telephone, email, or joint visits where appropriate. Liaising and attending meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties. Working with and supporting external sales functions.
Lean Responsibilities:
Maintaining a clean order book. Providing MI reports on quote conversion success, failure, and reasoning. Maintaining, developing, and managing specific service offers to ensure consistent service excellence. Providing monthly reports on account activities to agreed timescales. Ensuring that internal sales operations are in compliance with ISO procedures. Ensuring all orders are clean and accurate when processed. Ensuring the sales offices are in full compliance with all health and safety regulations.
What will you bring to the role?
A proactive, positive approach. Capable of working at pace and with accuracy. Able to work independently whilst still taking a team approach. Internal sales experience of at least 3 years.
