All About the Role

Based at our AH Allen Steelstock site in Swadlincote, we seek an individual who is passionate, hard-working, ambitious, and demonstrates a ‘can-do’ attitude to help us build and develop the business.

Specific tasks include:

Sourcing new sales opportunities and developing the existing customer base.

Building partnering relationships to understand customer needs and requirements.

Developing relationships with key accounts to ensure clear communication lines are open.

Processing sales enquiries/orders and seeing all administration through to completion, ensuring excellent levels of customer service.

Closing sales and achieving monthly targets as agreed with your line manager.

Handling NC data for steel processing.

Conducting external visits to customers as required.

Assisting in the development of upselling processed steel sections.

Helping to develop new business, ensuring potential clients are aware of what our business has to offer.

Raising sales orders, checking stock availability, and raising quotations.

Responding to non-sales queries such as order progression updates, transport queries, and incorrect/missing items.

Essential Skills for the Role:

Ability to build strong relationships quickly with a proactive attitude and approach.

Thrives on working to targets and KPIs.

Ideally, previous experience in the steel or related industries.

Previous experience in a similar sales role.
