Internal Sales
The Company Our client has grown to be one of the UK's largest suppliers of Structural Steel construction products and Structural Steel -rebar into the Civil, Groundwork and Construction industry. This growth has seen the company turnover increase and their ability to service clients far beyond their expectations. With continued support for training with a guarantee that personal development will be encouraged and promoted, our client is now looking to expand their operations in the Whitham area by recruiting this role.
The Role This is a fundamental role in the company's business strategy and requires an individual with a strong construction customer interaction, sales, account management, or customer service background. This is an internal Account Management role operating all over the Midlands area. You will be responsible for customers when they call the branch with inquiries for the supply of structural steel, rebar, or mesh, putting together the lists of products they require. This is a reactive role requiring very little new business, managing existing long-standing accounts, building strong business relationships, and making sure that our clients' customers feel well looked after and valued. The application of these products is heavily biased towards large construction contractors, civil engineering contractors, house builders, developers, ground works contractors, and structural engineering projects. You will work autonomously but as part of a team in the office advising customers on products, costings, and delivery, and will play an integral part in the company's development.
The Candidate Suitable applicants must be able to show strong customer interaction experience, sales, internal account management, or customer service capability (personality, enthusiasm, and attitude) within the above markets (construction contractors, merchants, and end-users) and be looking for a challenging new role. Customer service, sales admin, or sales experience is ideal; however, applicants must also have experience dealing at a technical level and must enjoy the technical challenges this role provides. Candidates presently in sales admin, internal sales, counter sales, account management, builders merchant, cement, concrete, aggregate, or steel roles dealing with the construction market or similar would be of great interest, as this role requires both technical and commercial acumen.
