Here at Langdons, we have an amazing opportunity for an International FTL Senior Planner to join the team based in Dover. You will be working on a permanent full-time basis, working 5 on 2 off Shift Pattern and in return, you will receive a salary of GBP35,000 per annum. About us: Whether it’s fresh consignments or frozen goods we have it covered! Langdons can deliver to almost any location in the UK or Ireland within 24 hours. We have 9 depots and over 375 vehicles carrying chilled and frozen food all over the country. We’re the only company providing a 24-hour service of this kind, and we’re very good at it. Key Responsibilities: Planning of vehicles, taking load factors, customer opening hours, driving hours and all other legal requirements into consideration Adhere to Profit and Loss targets set by Management Supervision and control on a daily basis to ensure that collection and deliveries are carried out, as per instruction Timely and effective communication between office, customers, sub-contractors, drivers and any other parties involved in the process Using own initiative to make decisions relevant to your area of control General administration Commercial representation Assist in other areas within the business, as and when required General Responsibilities: Promote company values and code of conduct in all that you do and to others you come into contact with Adhere to company rules, policies and procedures constantly and encourage others to do the same Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation impacting on your role where required Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and ensure that confidentiality is applied where appropriate What qualifications and experience are we looking for in our International FTL Senior Planner? At least 3 years experience in the haulage/freight forwarding industry and have a good understanding of all aspects of fleet and driver management, scheduling/planning, WTD and tachographs IT literate in Microsoft Office packages Able to compile and collate data Extensive knowledge and application of health and safety procedures What skills & abilities are we looking for in our International FTL Senior Planner?
