International Recycling Manager – sales and purchasing of metal containing spent catalysts and other secondaries involving the oil and gas industries. London Chemicals & Resources Limited (LCR) based in Westerham, requires an individual to join an expanding team in Westerham, Kent. An experienced sales purchasing individual to join our team dealing with spent catalysts and other metal containing materials. The role would suit a confident, self-starter with technical sales experience ideally gained from the oil, gas, petrochemical or catalyst areas. LCR jointly owns and works exclusively with European and SE Asian processing plants who recycle spent and waste materials and produce metals and chemicals on our behalf. The job involves searching and liaising with customers, attending conferences, and visiting clients internationally. With in-house training, support, and guidance by the management team, the candidate will initially shadow an existing highly experienced manager with a view to taking over his portfolio of clients in the future. The position requires someone who is UK-based and can commute to the Westerham office regularly. There is a possibility to work partly from home after training is completed and the ability to work independently, which is likely to take one year or more depending on previous experience. Competitive salary and annual bonus. The role does not include a company car as 98% of the company’s business is offshore. Key Responsibilities / Tasks

Working with the senior manager arranging purchases and sales of metal containing secondaries and other materials globally. Help build upon established relations with processors and locate new ones. Liaise and visit companies in various industries globally. Attend trade exhibitions and other industry relevant events. Preparing and issuing purchase and sales contracts. Work closely with the LCR logistics and operations team to ensure smooth trade processing and movement of materials in shipping containers globally. Reports to the head of department and ultimately the Managing Director. Qualifications / Experience

Minimum of five or more years’ experience involving international sales/purchasing in the oil, gas, petrochemical or catalyst areas. Knowledge of metals – the LME, Fastmarkets etc. would be useful but not essential as the successful candidate will be trained. Connections with, and knowledge of global catalyst producers, oil refineries, and gas producers are useful. Any of the skills listed would be an advantage.
