Working with the senior manager to arrange purchases and sales of metal-containing secondaries and other materials globally. Help build upon established relations with processors and locate new ones. Liaise with and visit companies in various industries globally. Attend trade exhibitions and other industry-relevant events. Prepare and issue purchase and sales contracts. Work closely with the logistics and operations team to ensure smooth trade processing and movement of materials in shipping containers globally. Report to the head of department and ultimately the Managing Director. Qualifications / Experience
Minimum of five or more years’ experience involving international sales/purchasing in the oil, gas, petrochemical, or catalyst areas. Knowledge of metals – the LME, Fastmarkets, etc. would be useful but not essential as the successful candidate will be trained. Connections with and knowledge of global catalyst producers, oil refineries, and gas producers are useful. The position requires someone who is UK-based and can commute to the office regularly. There is a possibility to work partly from home after training is completed, and the ability to work independently, which is likely to take one year or more depending on previous experience.
