Would you like to bring your sales and marketing experience to a leading publisher of an international journal dedicated to sustainable energy? Our client not only publishes an international bi-monthly journal but also hosts significant international events that bring together industry leaders. This role offers hybrid working, with three days in the London office and two days working from home. Candidates will need to be based in the UK and able to commute to the London office three days a week. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Sales & Marketing Manager to lead the sales & marketing team. The role would suit someone who enjoys dealing with international people/organisations, as the journal and related events are totally international, and someone who has a proven track record in international sales within the publishing sector. Key responsibilities will include: Driving the promotion and sale of classified advertisements in the (printed) bi-monthly journal and annual reference book. Overseeing the promotion and sale of banner advertisements, industry guide logos, and other options on their website. Managing exhibition stands and sponsorship opportunities for the international events ensuring high visibility and engagement. Leading and mentoring a team of two, guiding them in achieving sales goals and developing marketing strategies. Identifying new business opportunities through research, networking, and face-to-face meetings. Overseeing the CRM to ensure accurate tracking and reporting. Managing and coordinating the organisation’s presence at international exhibitions. This is a fabulous role for a sales & marketing professional with proven experience within the publishing industry, ideally with experience of dealing with international sales, and who enjoys working with international organisations. This is an ideal role for someone looking for more responsibility and growth in their next role. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills with a hands-on approach and the ability to lead a small team. The ability to speak a second language is desirable, although this is not essential. Our client offers a supportive and collaborative working environment, a highly attractive salary and commission base, along with company benefits.
