Hybrid role in Belfast The International Tax Manager will play a critical role in managing the company's foreign tax operations and ensuring compliance with international tax regulations. This position involves leading the preparation and management of international tax returns, VAT returns, monthly transfer pricing, and general ledger reconciliations while maintaining ownership of all international entities' tax aspects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in international tax law and be adept at managing complex projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams. What you'll do:

Prepare and review corporate tax returns for international entities, ensuring accuracy and timely compliance with local tax laws. Prepare and review international VAT returns and ensure timely submission in compliance with jurisdictional requirements. Maintain ownership of all tax aspects for international entities, ensuring end-to-end compliance and reporting accuracy. Monitor changes in foreign tax regulations, ensuring that the organization remains compliant with evolving rules. Prepare monthly transfer pricing calculations and ensure compliance with OECD guidelines and local regulations. Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors to maintain accurate transfer pricing documentation and conduct benchmarking studies. Oversee the management and reconciliation of intercompany settlements, ensuring compliance with transfer pricing policies and minimizing exposure to tax risks. Prepare monthly general ledger reconciliations tied to tax reporting for international entities, ensuring accuracy and audit readiness. Lead the setup and implementation of tax processes for international entities, ensuring compliance and reporting with local tax regulations and alignment with the company’s global tax strategy. Implement and maintain strong internal controls to ensure SOX compliance for international tax processes. Assist with the preparation of the quarterly tax provision, including deferred tax calculations for financial reporting purposes. Conduct detailed analyses of uncertain tax positions and ensure appropriate reserves are maintained. Work closely with Accounting, Treasury, Legal, and other departments to ensure alignment on global tax matters. Mentor and guide junior tax team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment. Provide training on international tax developments and their implications for the organization. What you will need:

Proficiency in preparing and managing international tax and VAT returns. Experience in preparing monthly transfer pricing calculations and general ledger reconciliations. Advanced knowledge of international tax regulations, including BEPS, OECD guidelines, and local country tax laws. Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex tax issues. Proven experience in global tax compliance, tax provision processes, and managing tax audits. Exceptional project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously. Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex tax issues to non-tax professionals and senior leadership. Familiarity with tax technology tools and ERP systems. Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CA, or equivalent certification preferred. Minimum of 7-9 years of experience in international tax, preferably within a multinational corporation or Big Four accounting firm. Expertise in corporate tax compliance, VAT compliance, provision processes, transfer pricing, and intercompany settlements. Experience with tax planning in cross-border transactions and acquisitions.
