Assist in the development and execution of various security projects, working alongside senior security engineers. Projects may include vulnerability assessments, security tool implementations, and process automation. Operational Security Tasks:
Contribute to day-to-day security operations, including monitoring security alerts, managing security tools, and performing regular checks on system health and integrity. Incident Response:
Support the team in investigating and responding to security incidents. Help document findings and ensure appropriate remediation steps are taken. Vulnerability Management:

Help maintain and update security documentation, including policies, procedures, and incident reports. Prepare reports on security metrics for internal use. Your present skillset Penultimate year students studying for a degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD) in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field, on track towards obtaining a 2:1 or above. Demonstrable passion for technology. Regardless of whether you have formal CompSci training or not – we are more interested in your achievements related to software/hardware/security engineering. Basic understanding of security principles and technologies, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanning tools. Familiarity with security best practices, such as password management, data encryption, and secure coding practices. Interest in learning about security tools, processes, and industry trends. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with good problem-solving skills. Hands-on experience with industry tools would be a plus (even if only from academic projects). Familiarity with basic scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and automation techniques is desirable. Relevant certifications or coursework, such as CompTIA Security+ or similar would be advantageous.
