Investment Appraisal Analyst

to join our team and perform reviews of all deals our solutions team sells and monitoring performance versus the original business cases. Your Key Duties & Responsibilities: Own the post investment appraisal (PIA) process to review whether deals that have been sold have delivered the performance we are expecting. This is a significant and vital part of the role as the PIA forms part of the client solution team’s commission, and the business needs to be able to constantly review the performance of its investments and react where these are not performing as intended. Provide timely insights to the business following post investment appraisals where deals are not performing as expected to allow these deals to be improved and for learnings to be fed back into the Solutions team to improve how future deals are structured. Support the capex spend process (for machines and all other capex spend) to ensure business cases are completed in a timely manner with accurate tracking of spends vs business case. Support the FP&A Business Partners to deliver monthly analysis as part of the business review pack, budget, regular reforecasts, and monthly landing estimates. Support the wider team on other finance processes and ad hoc analysis as required by the business. Key Skills and Qualifications: Comfortable working with high volumes of transactional data and experience of transforming this into meaningful analysis. Committed towards work and deadlines. Accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent organisation and time management. Ability to engage effectively with all levels and across different functions. Excellent analytical and numerical abilities. Sound business and commercial understanding. Ability to adapt to a fast-moving finance environment. Ambitious, self-motivated team player. Ability to apply Excel skills to approach large data sets and make sense of complex data. Ability to apply systems knowledge to solve problems. Benefits: 25 days holiday pa + bank holidays.
