Our client is a world-renowned asset manager offering a diverse array of investment strategies across Equities, Fixed Income, Sustainability, Private Markets, and Hedge Funds. They seek an Investment Specialist to join their Alternatives team, focusing specifically on Hedge Funds. The Hedge Fund client team collaborates cross-functionally with Relationship Managers, Investments, and operational departments to assist clients seeking alternative investments.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Evaluating portfolio alignment, performance, risk metrics, market trends, and competitive positioning.
Engaging in strategic initiatives to enhance client acquisition and retention by developing new investment offerings, creating client-focused materials, and defining communication strategies that highlight unique product attributes.
Serving as an advisor on investment integrity and risk, conducting regular assessments of performance and risk to ensure alignment with client objectives, as well as participating in formal investment reviews to achieve superior outcomes.
Developing and revising client-focused materials, assisting with Requests for Proposals (RFPs), addressing client inquiries, and streamlining processes.
Collaborating as part of a cohesive team to formulate innovative client solutions and new investment strategies.
Requirements:
A minimum of 6 years of experience within a hedge fund or asset manager focused on hedge fund/alternative assets.
Strong analytical skills, adaptability in uncertain situations, and a proactive mindset.
Excellent judgement, intellectual curiosity, and openness to diverse viewpoints.
Proficiency in MS Excel, with familiarity in platforms such as Bloomberg and FactSet considered advantageous.
An international perspective and/or language skills are a plus.
Willingness to travel occasionally as required by the role.
