National Grid touches the lives of almost everyone, with an energy network that operates on both sides of the Atlantic. We’re an international business, and our work underpins the lives of millions of people. Feet forwards, head up, and eyes bright, we’re working hard to create value for people today – and shape the future of energy tomorrow. In the UK, we don’t generate or sell energy – we join the dots to get energy from A to B. From making a cup of tea in the morning, to keeping the lights on in hospitals, our electricity network puts power in the hands of people. Without it, the world as we know it would grind to a halt. The world of energy is changing. Our vision is to be at the heart of a clean, fair and affordable energy. About The Role

As a key player in our Investor Relations (IR) team, you will represent National Grid to the investment community, helping to shape and communicate our exciting investment proposition as we drive the delivery of clean energy across the UK and US Northeast. In this dynamic role, you will collaborate closely with our business units and internal stakeholders to create engaging content for a variety of platforms. Whether it’s supporting the organisation of large-scale capital market events, developing our ESG investor education series, reporting on our financial results, or participating in meetings, roadshows, and conferences, you will play a vital role in showcasing our innovative approach to investment. Your focus will be on supporting the team in crafting and delivering compelling content for investor events, monitoring sell-side reporting, researching peer communications, and ensuring compliance with relevant processes and controls. If you are passionate about making a difference in the energy sector and eager to contribute to a team that is driving positive change, we want to hear from you! Join us at National Grid and help us lead the way in clean energy investment! What You'll Do

Investor Content and Engagement: Support Investor Relations activities such as financial results announcements, M&A, and roadshows. Enhance communication content for the investor community and keep the IR team informed with analyst forecasts and reports. Internal Engagement: Assist in reporting to the Board and senior leadership while promoting awareness of the IR role and strategy across the organisation. Analytical Support: Monitor shareholder developments and maintain a supportive shareholder base. Conduct benchmarking analysis and provide financial insights to ensure accurate consensus estimates. Compliance: Support compliance monitoring and reporting for the IR team and advocate for best practice within the team. Self-Development: Continuously expand your knowledge of equity market trends and National Grid’s financial framework. What You'll Bring

Dynamic Background: While experience in finance or communications from an in-house Investor Relations, Communications, or Finance team is desirable, it’s not essential. We welcome diverse backgrounds and fresh perspectives! Enthusiasm for Financial Markets: Bring your interest in the equities markets and an understanding of how social, political, and economic issues impact market dynamics. Your insights will help shape National Grid’s strategy and operations in the UK and US. Communication Expertise: Showcase your experience in creating or reviewing corporate or financial communications, contributing to our narrative and engagement with stakeholders. Financial Acumen: A foundational knowledge of financial information and reporting will be beneficial as you navigate this exciting role. Details matter: Strong numeracy skills and an attention to detail are essential for communicating with an Investor audience. What You'll Get

A competitive salary between £40,000 - £50,000 per annum – dependent on capability. As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%. You will also have access to a number of flexible benefits such as a share incentive plan, salary sacrifice car and technology schemes, support via employee assistance lines and matched charity giving to name a few. More Information

This role is offered on a Full-Time, Permanent basis. We are also offering hybrid/flexible working where travel to the office will be as per business need. Base location for this role will be The Strand, London. This role closes on 11th February 2025; however, we strongly encourage candidates to submit their application as early as possible. We foster a culture of inclusion that drives employee engagement to deliver superior performance to the communities we serve. National Grid is proud to be an affirmative action employer.
