Issue Centre Stores Controller

in Odiham. The job is part of a team of 2 tool control operatives, reporting to the Off Aircraft Operations Manager. Daily tasks will include issuance and return of tooling to aircraft maintenance teams, and completion of all tool control records. Maintaining the correct standard of maintenance on the tool kits, and ensuring any discrepancies are reported immediately. Procuring of replacement tools as required, and carrying out regular inspections and audits of tools and equipment. Responsibilities: Management and control of tooling, test equipment and calibrated items in an aviation environment. Responsible for the issuing, return and accounting of controlled items and equipment, for use on aircraft, to support the maintenance of aircraft and schedule adherence. Carry out scheduled inspections on equipment and tools when required, and arrange the procurement of replacement items through the company process. Manage calibration and records of equipment in their area of responsibility, and ensure the availability of in-date test equipment and tooling to meet the aircraft maintenance teams' requests. Maintain accurate records of tools and equipment using automated systems and manual reporting methods to ensure compliance with associated regulations. Identify and solve problems or discrepancies of limited scope with tools and equipment using established procedures or processes. Work under general supervision. Required Qualifications: Experience of accounting for controlled items. Understanding of aviation regulations with respect to tool control. Additional Qualifications: Experience in an aviation role will be an advantage. Experience in military accounting systems e.g. MJDI will be an advantage. Work Authorisation: This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the United Kingdom.
