Location : Hybrid. Needing to be at The Lodge in Sandy, Bedfordshire/St Martins in Bedford probably 1-2 days a week

Salary : £29,200.00 - £31,347.00 Per Annum

Benefits : Pension, Life Assurance and Annual Leave

Contract : Fixed-Term contract for 12 months (Ideally starting 17th March 2025)

The RSPB reserves the right to extend or make this role permanent without further advertising dependent on business needs at the end of the contract term.

Introduction

This role is responsible for licence and asset management across the organisation and as such will report into the Service Desk Manager. With 2,500 staff and over 12,000 Volunteers there is the need to keep a tight management of our asset base especially for high value IT items and to ensure that license spend is controlled. What's the role about?

As well as managing the location of our hardware assets and documenting this the role will be responsible for ensuring that we do the same with our software and ensure that licences are only in place for those who really need access and that this is managed through the starters and leavers process. This role is one that could be managed hybrid but there will be the need for occasional travel to the RSPB HQ in Sandy and to RSPB St Martins in Bedford where the physical assets are managed from. Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

At least 5 GCSE's, including Maths and English Essential knowledge. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (especially Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Knowledge of document management and team collaboration tools. Experience of managing IT assets and knowledge of asset and license management terminology and processes. Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences whether by phone, email or in person. Able to negotiate and influence effectively. Able to identify and act on opportunities for continually improving ways of working. Able to proactively identify and solve problems. Able to deal with confidential and sensitive information appropriately. Desirable skills, knowledge and experience:

Knowledge of budget management terminology and processes Demonstrable Service improvement experience. Closing date:
