Business Analyst - Intranet build/ replacement - 6 month initial contract - up to £500 per day (INSIDE IR35) - Leatherhead

We are seeking a highly experienced contract Business Analyst to support the build and replacement of our Intranet (currently hosted on SharePoint). The ideal candidate will bring a blend of business analysis and test management expertise to ensure the successful delivery of the project.

This role involves engaging with stakeholders to gather and document requirements, analysing workflows, and overseeing the design and testing of the new solution. You will play a pivotal part in ensuring the new platform aligns with business needs, is rigorously tested, and is delivered with minimal disruption to operations.

Key Responsibilities Requirements Gathering & Analysis:

Work closely with stakeholders to understand and document current workflows, pain points, and system requirements. Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements. Identify and document gaps between existing SharePoint functionalities and future-state requirements.

Process Mapping & Solution Design:

Conduct process mapping to document "as-is" and "to-be" states. Collaborate with the IT team and vendors to design and validate the solution architecture.

Test Management:

Develop and manage test plans, test cases, and scripts to validate the new platform. Coordinate and execute system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and performance testing. Track and report defects, ensuring timely resolution in collaboration with the development team.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Act as the liaison between business teams, IT teams, and third-party vendors. Facilitate workshops and meetings to ensure alignment across all parties.

Data Migration Support:

Assist in data analysis, mapping, and validation activities to ensure a smooth migration process. Collaborate with technical teams to define migration requirements and strategies.

Change Management & Documentation:

Create user guides, training materials, and process documentation to support change management efforts. Provide end-user training and support as needed to drive adoption of the new platform.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

Demonstrable experience as a Business Analyst, with specific expertise in SharePoint replacement or migration projects. Proven experience in test management, including planning, execution, and defect tracking. Strong understanding of collaboration and document management systems, including SharePoint and modern alternatives. Ability to document workflows, requirements, and test scenarios clearly and concisely. Familiarity with data migration concepts and strategies. Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills. Proficiency in business analysis and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps, or equivalent).
