Working as part of our Group Field Engineering team, you will report directly to one of our Service Delivery Manager’s and you will provide hardware and network installation services to our customers. As one of our IT Field Engineers, you will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of new systems, upgrade of existing systems to latest software and/or hardware as required, as well as ongoing break-fix and BAU support. As the role is customer facing, it is imperative that providing great customer service is highly important to you. Although a field-based role, you will collaborate with your wider team to ensure we are delivering what is required for our end customers. Other roles and responsibilities:

Provide thorough and timely reports, clearly identifying any problems and the steps taken to overcome them. Escalate any critical technical issues in a timely manner to your peers, manager, or our support team for speedy resolution. Keep customers fully informed on the progress of work whilst on-site, providing regular updates. Adhere to policy and procedures required as part of your role. Who you’ll be

If you are a customer focused individual who is technically savvy, then this could just be the role for you. The ability to collaborate effectively with your peers, as well as be self-motivated to work independently is key. You will be eager to self-develop and continue on a path of learning, enhancing your technical knowledge to ensure we deliver the best service possible to our customers. Technical skills required include:

Knowledge of current Windows Operating Systems, including installation and troubleshooting. Experience of Microsoft Servers, and knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g. Hyper-V) would be ideal. TCP/IP and Windows Networking skills. Previous experience in a field based or desktop/IT support role. Quality driven with excellent attention to detail. Full clean UK driving license.
