About The Role My client is seeking an experienced

Field Engineer

to join an established and highly regarded Managed Service Provider (MSP), supporting clients along the M4 corridor. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in MSP environments, who thrives in a flexible working setup and enjoys a combination of office-based and onsite client visits.

Key Responsibilities Onsite Client Support: Provide expert hands-on technical support and maintenance at client sites, ensuring consistent and efficient service delivery. Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues swiftly and effectively in line with MSP standards. Installations & Upgrades: Deliver installations, upgrades, and configurations of systems, servers, and networks tailored to client requirements. Preventative Maintenance: Perform regular system health checks and proactive maintenance to prevent downtime. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a seamless customer experience and high satisfaction levels. Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of completed work, issues resolved, and systems configurations. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams to escalate and address complex technical challenges when necessary. About You To Excel In This Role, You’ll Need To Have MSP Experience: Demonstrate prior experience working in a Managed Service Provider environment, managing multiple client accounts and their IT needs. Be Technically Proficient: Possess strong skills in diagnosing and resolving IT issues across hardware, software, and networks. Be Customer-Focused: Excel at building rapport with clients and explaining technical solutions in an approachable, non-technical manner. Be Proactive & Organised: Manage your workload effectively while maintaining a focus on delivering outstanding service. Be Mobile & Flexible: Be comfortable travelling within the M4 corridor and adapting to varied client environments. Essential Requirements Proven experience in a similar field-based IT support or engineering role within an MSP environment. Strong technical knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking (firewalls, VPNs, routing), and hardware support. Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure) and virtualisation platforms. Familiarity with RMM tools and PSA systems commonly used in MSPs. A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel. Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-first mindset. What’s On Offer? Competitive salary of £38,000 - £40,000 per annum.
