Overview

We are looking for an Asset Manager to join our established IT Support team. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in a busy and growing retail environment.

The role involves vendor evaluation, tracking and management cost, ITIL asset management processes implementation, and improvement of data quality on the asset database.

What you'll be doing

Maintain and control asset lifecycle of store, head office, and infrastructure hardware.

Create and maintain product catalogue.

Establish and maintain hardware and software databases.

Interfacing with technology vendors and contractors, negotiating contracts and purchase agreements.

Perform daily and long-term operational management of hardware and software.

Manage the asset inventory.

Plan, record, and track hardware assets and software licenses.

Ensure efficiency by introducing and reporting against key performance indicators.

Continual Service Improvement (CSI) of hardware and software management processes.

Effective management of CMDB ensuring its accuracy.

Supervise and support procurement procedures.

Supervise and support tracking of equipment.

Support projects, assisting PMs and engineers in purchasing and lifecycle planning.

Compile and share reports on current assets and their status.

Establish and maintain documentation of procedures, processes, and reports concerning asset management.

We'd love to meet someone with

Strong knowledge of IT hardware and software with more than 3 years working as an IT Asset analyst.

Strong knowledge of working with a CMDB and business services it supports.

At least 5 years ITSM experience.

Proven ability and experience in executing asset management processes.

Strong knowledge of licensing in software including Microsoft.

Excellent vendor management skills.

Knowledge of IT service management processes from within an ITIL environment.

Strong ability to carry out tasks independently.

Excellent at performing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Excellent communication skills.

Ideally have a process IAITAM cert such as CHAMP, CSAM, or CITAM.

Excellent organizational skills.
