Key purpose of role: The postholder will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation of the College’s first line response to students and staff for IT related queries (hardware and software) through the management and supervision of the team running the Help Desk. The postholder will deputise for the IT Manager when required and support the IT Manager’s leadership by supervising day to day IT activities, monitoring the help desk requests, responding to queries for new software or hardware by teaching staff and providing quality assurance for IT support. The postholder will have good technical and development skills, good managerial abilities, and be able to help the IT Manager provide the very best customer service.
