We have an exciting opportunity within our IT department who are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated IT Helpdesk Technician. About the role: You will join on a full time, permanent basis (35 hours per week). We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, proactive and motivated candidate, with a genuine desire to develop a career in technology, who can demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills, to work within a busy team. This is a mid-level position for someone with IT experience to gain additional skills and experience within an essential and demanding role, providing a courteous, friendly and professional service to staff, either via the telephone or in person. Key responsibilities: Prioritise and resolve helpdesk calls logged from all users to a satisfactory completion. Escalate support calls to other members of the ITS team, aiding them in problem resolution. Help resolve IT/technical incidents. Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications. Person Specification: The successful incumbent must have: 5+ GCSE A*- C, 4-9 or equivalent. Technical Support and Troubleshooting skills. Desktop Computers and Printer Support expertise. Experience in Computer Repair. Strong problem-solving abilities.
