IT Infrastructure Specialist - 12 months fixed term Salary:

Eyre Court, Lincoln, 37.5 hours per week (hybrid working) About the role The IT Infrastructure Specialist is required to lead in the operational management, monitoring, and support of the Trust’s IT infrastructure. This consists of hardware, software, desktop and shared infrastructure, voice and data networks along with mobile and fixed telephony. The IT Infrastructure Specialist ensures ongoing reliability, capacity, and efficacy in all areas of IT infrastructure. Under the direction of the Trust’s Head of IT and current Infrastructure Specialists, the role is responsible for a wide array of infrastructure BAU activities, contributing heavily to performant IT services. These activities range from technical advice and guidance to highly complex technical investigation/fault finding along with proactive maintenance/upkeep of critical platforms and hardware. What we're looking for The IT Infrastructure Specialist should possess good communication skills as working collaboratively with teams and individuals (both internal and external to the Trust) is essential. The role will be required to liaise with 3rd party telephony, connectivity, and data centre providers. The IT Infrastructure Specialist is expected to demonstrate best practice in all aspects of their work, setting an honest, professional example to colleagues. The Trust strongly promotes knowledge transfer within the IT team and is keen for technical knowledge to be documented and shared in a planned manner. Other essential skills & knowledge: Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology Proven and demonstrable experience in supporting IT infrastructure including networks, security, and hardware. Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team. Experience of planning and prioritising own workload and working on own initiative. Experience of working in an operational IT environment. Experience of managing and supporting IP-based telephony systems and equipment. Experience of managing and supporting LAN/WAN. Experience of providing IT support. Experience of working in an operational IT environment, providing face-to-face support to users and also supporting core IT infrastructure. Experience of delivering and supporting IT services in a multi-site organisation. 5 years+ operational experience of IT infrastructure/services support.
