Guardian is one of the largest glass producers and innovators in the world. All UK manufacturing is based at the plant in Goole, East Yorkshire. We have recently made significant investment in a new furnace that uses advanced technology and will secure glass manufacture at the site for the next 20 years. We are looking for an IT / OT System Administrator to join our team in Goole.
What You Will Do
Have traditional IT systems knowledge, mostly Process Network oriented (process network and security infrastructure, plant operational printers, anti-virus and patching, wired and wireless networks, etc.).
Manage IT/technology related project deployments in your plant. Monitor cybersecurity.
Work within different teams such as engineering and global IT/OT teams.
Propose new solutions based on local experience for future enhancements.
Test, monitor and troubleshoot abilities.
Provide physical assistance for preventive and reactive maintenance.
Be able to proceed to change any of those during: Failures, Preventive/Predictive maintenance windows, planned technology changes.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Working knowledge of current network communications devices and protocols as well as server and desktop technologies, especially Windows Server.
Ability to manage multiple projects, activities, and tasks simultaneously.
Previous work experience following change management procedures and maintaining a highly available infrastructure.
What Will Put You Ahead
Bachelor’s Degree in IT.
Experience in the administration of a network of servers, desktop systems, and communication devices.
Desirable basic knowledge of ICS elements.
PLCs.
Working knowledge of Cisco and VMware.
