We have recently launched flagship SaaS product, Matrix 360, and are looking for an experienced project manager to support and drive the delivery of the next iteration of this product. The Programme and Project Management team within Defaqto are responsible for the effective delivery of IT and software projects across our organisation, which enables financial institutions, intermediaries and consumers to make smarter financial decisions. The Opportunity

From day 1 you will be working alongside our Head of Programmes and given responsibility to deliver a key project aligned to Defaqto’s strategic growth programme. The Role

Project Planning and Execution Develop and maintain comprehensive cross-functional project plans to support transparent reporting of progress. Ensure suitable levels of IT Development resources are identified and secured to enable successful project delivery. Responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously. Work with representatives from all disciplines within the IT delivery team to provide high level estimates for approved projects. Work proactively with other members of IT Delivery team to ensure Defaqto can remain responsive to emerging commercial opportunities. Project close activities. Contribute to the creation and maintenance of the IT Delivery roadmap. Be comfortable with both agile and waterfall methodologies to manage project delivery. RAID Management Identify, manage and monitor risks, issues and dependencies by developing mitigation strategies which avoids a negative impact on project timeline or deliverables. Act as first escalation point within project team and escalate to second line where necessary. Governance and Communication Accountable for implementing governance process for assigned projects. Provide regular project updates to IT Leadership Team. Track project budgets and support CAPEX / OPEX reporting. Manage stakeholder expectations throughout the life of the project. Manage the change control process where deviations from the business case are identified. Implement a communication plan to ensure all business functions are able to fulfil their responsibilities with regards to launch planning and ongoing support. Continuous Improvement Support the development and promotion of project management best practices across the organisation, promoting a continuous improvement culture. To be successful in this role

Experience in IT project management is essential. Experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Proficiency in risk and issue identification and management. Confident and direct communications - able to build excellent working relationships, influence decisions and achieve consensus. Strong drive for continuous improvement.
