Job Opportunity: IT Resilience Manager About the Role My client is seeking a skilled IT Resilience Manager to spearhead their efforts in building and maintaining a resilient IT landscape. This critical role ensures the organisation is prepared to respond to any potential disruptions, safeguarding the continuity of IT services and aligning with regulatory requirements. The position will focus on creating and maintaining strategies, processes, and tools that strengthen disaster recovery (DR) and resilience capabilities while promoting a culture of best practices. The successful candidate will take ownership of incident management, lead technology crisis tests, and design comprehensive recovery plans for critical systems. By collaborating across teams and working with external partners, you'll ensure robust frameworks are in place to protect services for both clients and internal teams. This is a hybrid role with plenty of flexibility. You'll be required to visit the Banbury office about once a month and visit your nearest local office when needed. Plus, you'll have the chance to visit one of our offices in Poland a couple of times a year - a great way to collaborate with the team and experience a bit of international travel. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain IT resilience policies, procedures, and frameworks that align with the organisation's business continuity goals. Design and implement disaster recovery plans and strategies to ensure business-critical systems and applications remain recoverable and functional during incidents. Lead regular resilience and crisis testing, identifying gaps, analysing outcomes, and implementing improvements for enhanced readiness. Oversee the creation of tailored DR testing schedules and coordinate resources to ensure timely and thorough execution of tests. Conduct resilience assessments of IT infrastructure and applications, providing actionable insights to mitigate risks and improve overall readiness. Act as a key advisor in IT design projects to ensure resilience and recovery measures are integrated from the outset. Maintain up-to-date documentation for all disaster recovery processes, ensuring they reflect current operational and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to enhance resilience capabilities, ensuring compliance with local and international standards. Deliver clear performance metrics and reports, providing assurance to stakeholders, auditors, and senior leadership about the organisation's resilience posture. Promote awareness of resilience best practices across the organisation to drive a culture of preparedness. Required Skills and Experience At least 5 years of experience in IT resilience and disaster recovery management, ideally within the financial services sector. Proven ability to design and implement effective resilience and continuity frameworks, including disaster recovery plans. Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud platforms (especially Microsoft Azure), and network architecture. Experience with traditional and cloud-based systems, with a focus on developing and improving recovery strategies. Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 22301 and ITIL, and relevant certifications (e.g., CBCP, MBCI) are highly desirable. Strong analytic and communication skills, capable of presenting technical insights in a clear and concise manner to various stakeholders. Ability to foster strong relationships across teams and effectively engage with external partners to ensure resilience objectives are met.
