IT Security Engineers £60k – £70k, Home Counties / Thames Valley. Two fantastic opportunities for experienced IT professionals to join this newly formed and now unified team responsible for Asset Protection and Threat Management at this global financial services provider. You will be analysing, owning and removing risk to the organisations assets regarding security vulnerability to protect their data and reputation, You will be responsible for technical assessment of security risk and exposure, deployment, scheduling, tools and methodologies to maintain the team’s directive of zero vulnerabilities across all infrastructure technologies they use. You can demonstrate experience in managing cyclical security deployment programme(s) and proven experience in any of the following technical arenas; Database (SQL and Oracle), Microsoft Server/ Desktop, Citrix XenServer / Desktop, Cisco networking, Collaborative technologies (Exchange / email platforms, Skype, Enterprise voice systems (Avaya, etc), Unified Communications) or Linux / Unix. You will be the subject matter expert (or will become one!) on Security patch deployment methodologies for one or more of these technology area (professional development / learning opportunity!) and will analyse and prioritise activities to deploy security patches to all core infrastructures, reporting back on progress and driving accountability. Let me be clear – this is NOT a governance role, or about future proofing or monitoring. This is about doing it, resolving the security issue situation – not advising about it! So in addition to your hands-on attitude and approach you will also have a strong track record of several years working within a financial services environment and practical familiarity with ITIL frameworks, ServiceNow (or similar), PowerBI (or similar!) and proven automation / scripting based skills to enable enterprise wide deployments. You also have the experience to understand how vulnerabilities present a threat in a multitude of technology platforms and the challenges associated with this that enable gauging of risk profile. And you can articulate this, write detailed and comprehensive requirements, gathering technical analysis and make recommendations to resolve problems and finally be proficient in writing detailed Change Manmagement documentation. That enough of a challenge for you? Would you know more young Padawan? The role offers a competitive salary dependent upon experience of c£60-£70k + bonus and an extensive benefits package for strong candidates. Interested?
